PPI Claims Support for Vulnerable Customers

The FCA have set a deadline of 29 August 2019 to complain about the sale of PPI or else lose your right to have your complaint assessed.

There is support available for vulnerable customers so it is important to be aware of the PPI helpline and website in order to find out more about the process and the help on offer:

You should call the FCA on 0800 101 8800 Monday to Saturday, 8am to 10pm or visit their website: www.fca.org.uk/ppi/

Payment protection insurance (PPI) was usually sold with products that you need to make repayments on, like a loan, credit card or mortgage.

Chief Office of Citizens Advice Rossendale & Hyndburn, Rachel Whippy said “If you think that you have had PPI on loans, credit cards and mortgages, it’s really important you get impartial and free advice on making a claim from the Financial Conduct Authority before the deadline of August 2019, otherwise you may lose out.”

“You don’t need to use a PPI reclaim company, who will charge you if your claim is successful, you can claim the money back yourself”

Don’t wait until 29 August 2019 – act sooner rather than later to check if you had PPI and decide whether to complain.
