Personal Budgeting Support

Many people are now claiming universal credit and it will eventually replace many existing welfare benefits.  It is paid to people who have low incomes.

Having universal credit paid on a monthly basis will be a big change to many people.  We can offer advice and assistance on managing monthly universal credit payments through our Personal Budgeting Support service.

If you are getting universal credit we can;

  • make sure the amount of universal credit you get is correct
  • help you put together an income and expenditure budget
  • maximise your income through a benefits check
  • advise on how to open a bank account
  • support you to set up direct debits and ensure priority bills such as rent is paid on time
  • help you shop around for cheaper deals, such as fuel and insurance
