Your Ticket to Financial Relief: United Utilities Help to Pay

If your household receives Pension Credit and you’re struggling with your water bill payments, then the United Utilities Help to Pay scheme can help with paying your water bills.

What Support is Available from the Help to Pay Scheme?

Customers accepted on to the scheme will have their annual charges capped at a lower amount. The amount you pay will depend on whether you live alone or with other adults at the same address who also receive Pension Credit.

Who is Eligible?

To be eligible for the scheme you will need to provide details about your household income for United Utilities to assess how much you can afford to pay.

How Can I Apply for the Help to Pay Scheme?

Our United Utilities Trust Fund team at Citizens Advice East Lancashire can assist all United Utilities customers living in the Burnley or Pendle area.

To apply for the scheme, you’ll need to fill in an online form available here: https://www.unitedutilities.com/my-account/your-bill/difficulty-paying-your-bill/eligibility-criteria/difficultypaying/

If you have any difficulties, reach out to us at one of our offices or during our outreach sessions. We'll be more than happy to help you check your eligibility and/or assist with filling out the forms.
