Your Key to Getting Extra Support: United Utilities' Priority Services

Priority Services are free extra support and assistance provided to people who may have specific needs or situations that require additional help with their water and wastewater services.

What support do Priority Services offer?

Priority Services offer specialised help to customers who may be elderly, disabled, chronically ill, or facing other challenging circumstances.

The support includes:

  • Keeping you informed if there are any issues with your water supply.

  • Assisting you if your home is affected by flooding from United Utilities sewers.

  • Providing communication in formats like Braille, large print, or talking bills, and supporting those with hearing or speech difficulties.

  • Offering mental health support from the caring team at Mind.

  • Giving advice on managing your water bill or dealing with debt.

  • Allowing you to nominate someone to talk to United Utilities on your behalf if it helps.

  • Helping you with reading and accessing your water meter.

  • Taking a little more time when visiting your home, if needed.

  • Regularly contacting you every two years to ensure your information is up to date.
